The Senior Global Program Manager will play a crucial role within the WestRock Corrugated Packaging Human Resources Team, acting as a business partner to lead and drive core programs globally. This position requires a deep understanding of strategic priorities and the ability to align them with business teams, ensuring effective execution of initiatives that enhance employee experience and culture. The role involves close collaboration with senior HR leadership to develop tools and processes that support organizational goals and improve overall HR functions.

  • Identify and independently lead key global initiatives and core programs using a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Utilize Generalist and HRBP experience to prioritize programs and develop multi-year plans aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Lead core projects, supporting enterprise-level initiatives with a strong organizational development background.
  • Drive integration initiatives and ensure sustainability of programs through effective communication and resource sharing.
  • Support the ongoing development of business-facing HRBP’s through coordinated efforts with HR leadership teams.
  • Ensure alignment with WestRock Human Resources COE Teams to improve current programs and drive excellence across HR functions.
  • Partner with leaders and HR team members globally to track and measure results of initiatives.
  • Organize a communication plan and calendar to drive and track multiple projects, holding the organization accountable for milestones.
  • Earn partnership across various organizational levels as a trusted subject matter expert.
  • Exhibit a proven track record of innovation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline; Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced HR business partner or business role, preferably in operations, sales, and marketing.
  • Additional 3+ years of program management experience managing complex projects and initiatives.
  • Superior project management skills with a high tolerance for ambiguity and changing situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Global experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Project Management software.
  • Experience within a high performing manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Creative communicator who works best in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct effective meetings and seek clarity of critical information.
