Summary of Position Reporting to the Director of Human Resource, the Senior HR Manager will partner in developing a business-smart, positive, impactful site HR function that directly contributes to improved operational and financial performance in support of Clydes growth trajectory. This role will be based at Clydes new state-of-the-art facility and help support Clydes union and non-union workforce across corporate functions and multiple plants. Direct reports include one HR generalist.

Requirements

  • Bi-lingual, verbal, and written fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelors degree in HR, business, or a related field.
  • Progressive HR experience with minimum of 4 years in a site HR leadership role in manufacturing, logistics, or comparable industries.
  • Experience supporting multiple shifts with willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support off-hours personnel.
  • Competent with HR technology systems. (Paylocity, Kronos, Clear Company, Alchemy)
  • Sound knowledge of practical application of federal and Illinois employment laws such as ADA , ADEA, Equal Pay Act, FLSA, FMLA, OWBPA, Title VII and experience conducting sensitive investigations.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Culture: Act as an employee champion and change leader at the plant, strengthening the employee experience through collaborative development and execution of scalable people programs aligned with company values and growth. Supports Clydes Vivid Vision objectives and Best Place to Work goals through effective engagement strategies, employee events, and wellness initiatives.
  • Employee & Labor Relations : Create a climate of trust through effective counseling, complaint resolution, CBA administration, grievance management, and fair, consistent discipline. Conduct sensitive investigations as needed.
  • HR services : Embody Clydes friendly face of HR spirit by providing sound consultative support to leaders and employees, resolving issues promptly and effectively, and ensuring accurate, reliable administration of benefits, leaves, union contract provisions, payroll support, HR reporting, and policy compliance.
  • Training & Development : Champion site training and development to build needed knowledge and skill in support of employee career growth. Partner with site leadership to develop, document and deliver programs across functional areas.
  • Employment Policy, Compliance and Legal : Collaborate in annual review/ update of policies, procedures, and work tools. Complete governmental reports as required. Participate in annual legal seminars to stay abreast of developing employment laws.
  • Staffing : Staff hourly workforce and manage 3 rd party staffing agencies. Collaborate with operations management to improve assessment and selection. Conduct high quality orientation and onboarding for all site personnel.
  • Performance Management : Provide consultative support to management to advance quality and effectiveness of employee goal setting, performance coaching, and evaluation.
  • Safety Champion : Be an active influencer and participant in advancing employee safety programs and objectives including a culture of prevention, training and compliance and proactive workers compensation case management.
  • Food Safety : Support regulatory and quality assurance departments in training, company policy interpretation, customer and regulatory audits, and compliance with food safety regulations. Follow Company SOPs regarding food safety, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), quality, and safety at all times. Promptly report concerns to the appropriate manager.

Benefits

  • Target base salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
  • Position is eligible for annual bonus
  • The target total compensation estimate includes an estimated annual bonus paid at target. Bonus payments are contingent on the Company achieving budgeted benchmarks and individual attainment of performance goals.
