About The Position

The Senior Hospitality Program Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering a best in class workplace hospitality experience that makes Visa an employer of choice. This is a highly visible, dynamic, and people forward role for a hospitality leader who thrives at the intersection of culinary excellence, employee experience, and operational rigor. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, this position is accountable for the Visa Culinary and Hospitality Program across Foster City and San Francisco Headquarters, overseeing onsite cafe operations that serve upwards of 4,000 Visa colleagues, clients, and guests. Partnering closely with Executives, site leadership, vendors, facilities teams, and cross functional stakeholders, this role brings strategy to life through exceptional food, service, and memorable moments that elevate the everyday workplace.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

  • Senior‑Level Hospitality & Operations Expertise
  • Min of 10 years of experience in Retail Management, Corporate Services, or a related field (or 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree), with demonstrated success in workplace food programs, standards and design.
  • Program, Vendor, and Contract Leadership
  • Proven ability to onboard and manage multiple vendors and contractors, interpret and enforce contracts, collaborate with Sourcing, and ensure services meet agreed upon terms, timelines, and service levels.
  • Financial and Business Management Acumen
  • Experience developing and managing site and annual budgets, maintaining fiscal responsibility, utilizing purchasing processes, and ensuring adherence to all financial controls.
  • Data Driven Communicator and Influencer
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data into insights that drive program excellence, paired with exceptional communication, marketing, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly convey complex concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, Customer Focused Leader
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with a passion for cross functional collaboration, customer service, and stakeholder engagement. Able to work independently as a subject matter expert in a rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the Workplace Hospitality and Culinary Program across two flagship sites, ensuring a consistent, high quality, and engaging experience that reflects Visa’s culture and values.
  • Manage a combined annual budget of approximately 8M USD, ensuring fiscal responsibility while delivering outstanding service, quality, and value in alignment with service level agreements.
  • Serve as Visa’s onsite food program Subject Matter Expert, establishing and upholding standards of excellence, driving consistency, efficiency, and innovation across all hospitality offerings.
  • Provide operational oversight of onsite cafes and hospitality services, ensuring culinary execution, quality, and experience Visa’s standards of excellence.
  • Lead vendor and contract management, partnering with third party suppliers to deliver seamless daily operations while continuously improving performance, compliance, and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute an effective internal communications strategy across four sites to drive employee engagement, promote offerings, and optimize program investment.
  • Communicate program progress, insights, and milestones to Executive Leadership, translating operational performance into clear, strategic updates.
  • Lead program development and project management efforts, including collaboration with construction and design teams to support cafe builds and workplace enhancements.
  • Partner with suppliers to integrate Visa’s Sustainability, Inclusion, and Wellness initiatives into the food and hospitality platform in meaningful and measurable ways.
  • Design a flexible, hybrid workplace friendly food program, optimizing service models to meet the evolving needs of the workplace while balancing convenience, quality, and value.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee focus groups and feedback loops, ensuring programs meet expectations for quality, service, convenience, and overall experience.
  • Ensure the North America hospitality program is equitable and consistent across the national portfolio, including onsite food, beverage, catering, and events.
  • Partner with Site Leadership to elevate the workplace experience and support culture creation through hospitality led moments and programming.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging onsite events such as Bring Your Child to Work Day, ERG celebrations, Farmers Markets, Holiday Events, and Company BBQs.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure flawless execution and memorable outcomes for all Visa hospitality and engagement events.
