We are actively hiring for a Sr. Homeowner Claims Field Adjuster in San Jose, Fresno, or Modesto, CA! Join us and support CSAA IG in achieving our goals. Please note that these are remote positions located in San Jose, Fresno, and Modesto or surrounding areas. Local travel around Northern California will be required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of four years of claims experience is required, with a preferred emphasis on homeowner claims.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic math and computer skills, with the ability to type 30 wpm.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Experience in handling multiple homeowner state policies and understanding of fair claims settlement practices and building codes preferred.
  • Knowledge of and writing skills in Xactimate repair estimating system.
  • Prior experience doing field inspections.
  • Knowledge of home construction.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record required loss information from the insured.
  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle homeowners’ property/personal property claims.
  • Conduct physical inspections of claims and determine scope of repairs.
  • Prepare repair bids using Xactimate estimating system.
  • Come to an agreed cost of repair with the insured or contractor.
  • Follow the repair process to conclusion.
  • Ensure thorough investigation of the cause of the loss.
  • Handle all correspondence to ensure regulatory compliance.
