  • Setup, Test and Qualify server, network hardware
  • Lead system test qualification.
  • Perform functional and reliability tests on compute, AI accelerator, storage servers, and network switches.
  • Define and automate hardware tests from component to rack levels.
  • Collaborate with various multi-functional hardware, software and network teams to develop hardware validation tools and automation processes.
  • Organize & perform hands-on work in eBay's engineering labs to set up equipment and perform tests.
  • Own the debug and root causes of issues encountered in large scale platform deployment and coordinate with vendors to drive successful resolution.
  • Write test plans, technical specifications, and manufacturing test processes.
  • Design, develop and validate integrated hyperscale rack products with multiple ODM vendors.
  • Develop software test scripts, tools, benchmarks, and automation to validate hardware reliability, performance, and interoperability of servers and switches.
  • 8+ years work experience, with BS/BA in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • A solid understanding of computer architecture and workload bottlenecks: CPU, Memory, Storage, Network, FPGA accelerators, RDMA, NVMe-oF, Persistent memory.
  • Proven record in hardware development and sustaining hardware OEM, ODM or JDM products at large scale.
  • Prior hands-on work in an engineering lab with test validation experience across multiple disciplines: network, server, power, thermal, mechanical shock & vibration.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze hardware and firmware designs.
  • Must have exposure to BIOS, BMC, NIC, server, networking and Linux at the level of an expert user.
  • Knowledge of Linux OS, BMC, software setup: drivers, CUDA, NOS (Network OS, e.g. SONiC).
  • Familiarity with scripting in Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Leveraging AI tools for scripting, coding, analyzing and documenting technical tasks.
