As a Hardware Test Engineer for Launch Vehicle Integration – Electrical Engineering, you will serve as the production-facing technical resource for satellite and dispenser electrical systems during integration and launch operations. You will own the triage and disposition of nonconformances, maintain satellite health and charging compliance, and support work order processes to keep production moving efficiently. This role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently while knowing when to escalate to development engineers. You will be a key enabler in scaling satellite integration throughput while maintaining high quality standards. We are seeking an excellent engineer who combines strong technical fundamentals with a demonstrated ability to support fast-paced production operations: As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will be part the Launch Vehicle Integration – Electrical Engineering team, serving as the primary technical interface between production operations and development. Your day will be driven by production needs—triaging nonconformances as they arise, reviewing work order changes, and ensuring satellite health requirements are maintained across the integration floor. On a given day, you may review and disposition a queue of nonconformances, closing straightforward issues and packaging complex ones for engineering review as needed. You might check dashboards to verify satellite state of health for various ops, then coordinate with technicians to address any anomalies. You could review a work order template update request, approve minor changes, or flag items needing development engineering input. When issues arise on the integration floor, you will be the first responder—troubleshooting electrical systems, interpreting harness schematics, and determining whether an issue can be resolved in place or requires escalation. This role requires comfort operating in a fast-paced production environment where priorities shift and quickly. You will work closely with integration technicians, manufacturing engineers, and the dev engineers. You should enjoy being close to the hardware and take pride in keeping production moving.
