About The Position

One of Apple's R&D groups is currently seeking a senior system hardware engineer. This engineer will be responsible for system level architecture and design of sensing systems from early concept prototyping to system architecture and physical implementation. We are looking for passionate and creative individuals to explore concepts and push the envelope of sensing performance in a high integrated systems. Innovation is in your hands! We are ready to help you help us grow. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams such as mechanical, controls, AIML, and embedded FW engineers to realize sensor system designs.

Requirements

• PhD in electrical engineering or similar field
• Experience leading teams through product development cycle from concept development to production bring up
• Large scale data analysis and knowledge of statistical techniques
• Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Drive system level sensor specification definition
• Conduct system architecture and tradeoff analysis
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across hardware and software
