About The Position

Summary: The Senior Graphic Designer will plan, visualize, and create marketing materials based on business needs and guidance from the Marketing Manager in advertising, social, website, promotions, and/or other departments within the Toot’n Totum family of brands. These materials may be printed documents, or electronic or web-based media, and are used for a variety of purposes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or related field; 3-5 years of solid production, design experience and Marketing skills in a graphic design field; OR Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk/hear, push/pull, climb, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel/crawl, taste/smell, balance, twist/reach, carry, grasp with hands, squat, drive and use keyboard.
  • Lift/pull up to 20lbs on occasion.
  • Ability to hear alarms, communication equipment and verbal instructions.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills. Basic speech skills; must be able to speak, read, write & understand the English language, clerical tasks, memorization, analytical skills, function under stress & make independent decisions.
  • General vision requirements in addition to close vision (<20 inches), Distance Vision (>20 feet), color vision and peripheral vision.
  • Normal (<85dB) noise levels.
  • Regularly & repetitively use both feet and both hands.

Responsibilities

  • Branding Responsible for maintaining, and sometimes creating, the 'look and feel' of a line of products or a corporate image. This means that a cohesive message and similar design elements are conveyed throughout the company’s line of print materials, websites, social, and other marketing materials. Brand recognition is important to Toot’n Totum because as the consumer or Guest makes the connection between the company and their products, the customer or GUEST develops “brand loyalty,” the goal of any sales, marketing, or advertising organization.
  • Marketing Materials Responsible for designing point of purchase (POP), brochures, flyers, advertisements, social, internal projects and much more. Create and maintain a social marketing presence. This can be done by either maintaining and/or establishing graphics on Toot’n Totum’s website, developing store opening and hiring materials, static store TV images, multiple social posts each month, and a multitude of other branded materials. It is critical this position has the skills to produce final pre-press print mechanicals and static digital assets.
  • New Concepts Keeping abreast of developing applications and technologies including watching for developments in cultural norms and be sensitive to societal shifts, patterns, and trends. This sensitivity is useful in developing new ways to communicate ideas and concepts to prospective audiences.
  • Organizational and communication skills are important to a successful Senior Graphic Designer. Some activities include collaborating with other departments on brand specific material or activities, assisting with non-for-profit initiatives, reviewing project briefs, and participating in ideation development meetings.
  • Establish and fosters relationships with management and all team members that will enable Marketing to be viewed as an integral part of the business.
