About The Position

This position works with the Director of Marketing and Commercial Marketing Manager to execute graphic design and visual creative needs in support of marketing strategies that promote ReActiv8 for our Global Commercial (U.S.A, Australia, United Kingdom, and Europe) businesses and product line. This includes working in an advanced capacity as a designer to translate messaging and brand goals into visual assets and story-telling alongside routine business tasks. The role requires advanced professional graphic design acumen across media and creative programs and the ability to thrive in an in-person, ever-changing creative environment. This role will be exposed to working on a wide variety of design projects supporting patient-facing, physician-facing and internal company brand tones including but not limited to: finishing the buildout of brand look and feel, multiple web revamps, potential future app design, formatting technical manuals, anatomical illustrations of the lower back, direct-to-consumer ad campaigns, social post graphics, layout of brochures, emails, flyers, newsletters, one-pagers, booklets, presentations, banners, templates, etc.The ideal candidate understands the push and pull of the creative process and is motivated to deliver top quality work and hone skills useful in a career path focused on design and creative.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in graphic design, in the pain or other medical industry preferred, ideally within a similar role or as a freelancer.
  • Excellent ability to translate ideas into clear and concise visual story-telling.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of ability to produce digital assets in varying artistic styles.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate), Figma (or willingness to learn), comfortability with Canva AND Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to learn how to build and layout emails in HubSpot.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working on a pipeline of tasks with a project manager as well as occssionaly working directly with principal stakeholders (i.e. senior leadership).
  • Excellent communication skills especially regarding workload, project completion estimates and competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor s degree in marketing, graphic design, visual media, digital media or similar preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in graphic design and digital art as demonstrated by the candidate s portfolio.
  • Polished and professional with outstanding communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Competent as a technical designer with flexibility to work in varying artistic styles, and an eye for layout to produce great collateral.
  • Willingness to learn about medical and spine procedures.
  • A team player, who can navigate throughout the organization while building solid relationships in order to get work done efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate on projects, a strong attention to detail, a high level of professionalism and with appropriate timeliness.
  • Comfortable with an in-person and face-to-face working environment in downtown San Diego.
  • Technologically savvy, with a hands-on approach to learning new digital solutions.
  • Willingness to collaborate with multiple diverse teams/individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the creation and enhancement of messaging and communication through visual design on projects and materials for all audiences, including professional layout and graphic design work in InDesign as demonstrated in the candidate s portfolio.
  • Actively collaborate and contribute to the creative and design process to take concepts, ideas and mock-ups to the next level.
  • Execute creation of core sales support materials including collateral and pitch book templates, brochures, marketing collateral in InDesign.
  • Execute creation of visual aspects of marketing materials from start to finish, facilitating collaboration with stakeholders through the correct internal review processes.
  • Own the organization of their working files and drafts on Sharepoint to efficiently store assets and execute updates to materials and collateral.
  • Demonstrate capability to work on multiple types of projects at any one time.
  • Create content and materials for market/segments with different target audiences and drivers.
  • Strictly adhere to workflow management and quality control methods required to produce quality work products.
