Sr Graphic Design Manager
About The Position
Senior Graphic Design Manager for University Relations creative services team reports to the Director of Creative Services. This position collaborates with the director, other designers, writers and clients to produce compelling communications that are properly targeted and reflect university standards. This position oversees graphic execution of projects and upholds the objectives of creative briefs as assigned. In addition, this position maintains and manages graphic standards of the department. This position researches, plans, designs and produces complex graphic design projects. This position also collects, organizes and maintains information and resources for the department, and provides feedback and supervision of team members as required.
Requirements
- Experience reviewing design projects with a meticulous eye for detail to ascertain compliance with supplied standards.
- Adept at juggling multiple projects, often under intense deadline pressure.
- Demonstrates experience preparing complex publications and prioritizing work tasks to meet established deadlines.
- Demonstrates skill and experience designing printed materials.
- Considerable knowledge of graphic art trends, concepts and techniques.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to relate well with a variety of people.
- Demonstrates experience using various computer software applications including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office in a Macintosh environment.
- Experience with offset and digital printing options and processes.
Nice To Haves
- The ideal candidate will have broad experience creating large publications, advertisements, illustrations, posters, digital signs, and other visual materials while staying within brand guidelines.
- Proficiency with digital photography is a plus.
- Experience in a collaborative setting such as an advertising agency or design house is preferred.
- Knowledge of working with or designing graphics for web and social platforms is a plus.
- Web and email design experience.
- Experience producing custom illustration.
- Photo editing experience.
- History of brand implementation and oversight
