About The Position

Highly talented sales person to successfully manage the Group Golf Package and Golf Wholesale Markets while further establishing the resort as the premier destination for golf travel. This position is to assist and support in all sales strategies and actions necessary to exceed budgeted goals and maximize profits.

  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of clients and hotel data at all times.
  • Excellent spoken and written communications skills in English – Spanish is a plus, though not required.
  • Must have good understanding of group, corporate and leisure markets and previous work experience in the Miami market.
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead resort sales effort with key leisure market accounts focused on golf tour & travel partner organizations both domestic and international.
  • Establish deep relationships with key top producing 3rd party golf travel partners that will support new Trump Hotel Collection positioning for Trump National Doral in both volume and rate growth.
  • Create and maintain travel schedule of in market sales calls, event and trade show participation to build top of mind awareness of the new resort positioning, current promotions and resort programming.
  • Lead resort’s sales efforts in group golf package sales market (10+ peak rooms staying on package).
  • Establish relationships with key accounts/partners to drive golf groups (10+ room night peak) to resort.
  • Maintain and grow partnership with PGA Ambassador/PGA Magazine relationships, PGA members, Golf Tour Operators, Golf Federations/Associations and other key markets to drive group golf package room nights and revenue.
  • Manage day/day customer support coordination with key agency accounts, resort reservations and operations.
  • Develop Trump National Doral Reservation support team and travel partner relationships.
  • Conduct ongoing internal training with hotel reservations, front office and F&B as needed.
  • Develop regular marketing and communication program to key account database.
  • Support Wholesale account strategy with agent training, events and trade show participation.
  • Work closely with THC GSO and support relationships/efforts.
  • Drive group golf leads from wholesale partners and LATAM travel agents.
  • Duties as assigned by Director of Golf & Travel Industry Sales and VP Sales & Marketing.
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget and business/marketing plan.
  • Analyze forecast, cost, and revenue reports and make sales strategy decisions based on that information to ensure hotel’s revpar and good positioning within the comp set.
  • Organize and participate in fam trips.
  • Plan and, on occasion, attend sales blitzes/missions for Trump National Doral - Miami in key markets with qualified pretrip agendas and detailed post trip reports.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and contribute to these meetings in a professionally effective manner; regularly communicate with all associates.
  • Participate in Manager on Duty programs.
  • Participate in community public relations for the hotel.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics and act as a role model for staff members.
  • Regularly research and remain current with Sales and Marketing trends.
  • Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process of new associates and managers.
  • Keep office clean and organized.
