About The Position

The position involves providing timely and quality maintenance for the FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and documentation of work. The role also requires ensuring compliance with OSHA and DOT standards while guiding and supporting a team of technicians and trainees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Vocational training from an accredited automotive-related vocational school preferred.
• ASE Master certification preferred.
• Four (4) years of fleet, automotive, or truck vehicle advanced technical repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting preferred.
• Knowledge of the use and operation of equipment and testing tools associated with troubleshooting and repair of various motorized equipment.
• Proficient skills in operating a personal computer.
• Demonstration of teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair various types of vehicles and equipment.
• Document work performed and maintain inventory using FedEx computer systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT standards.
• Guide and support a staff of technicians and trainees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
