The Amazon Robotics Supply Chain and Operations organization sources and manufactures a portfolio of robotics technology and is responsible for getting the right components to the right place at the right time to support our network of global fulfillment and transportation solutions. The Supply Chain team is seeking an experienced Sr. Global Commodity Manager for Conveyors and Lifting Solutions (Configured solutions and components like rollers, transfers, belts, vertical lifters) with a technical background and experience in global supplier management, new supplier introduction, supplier development, and executing sourcing decisions to support new product introduction and long-term commodity strategy. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-managed and driven sourcing strategist, with experience in the automation industry, mapping and aligning design and technology roadmaps, experience in creating sourcing strategies, and business acumen to support engineering teams to develop latest technologies through strong vendor base, without capacity constrain, while achieving cost reduction goals. The Sr. Global Commodity Manager has an important role in ensuring their respective technologies and suppliers meet the technical and commercial specifications necessary for Robotics to satisfy its internal Manufacturing Operations, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and Hardware Engineering customers.
