Senior General Adjuster Position of Senior General Adjuster based on the experience level of the individual. Starr participates on quota share programs on accounts in the Excess Surplus, Inland Marine and Builders Risk exposures. Primary occupancies insured for this position consist of Real Estate, General Manufacturing, Habitational, Floater Equipment schedules and Builders Risk. The position requires knowledge of Business Interruption coverage and policy interpolation with communication and writing skills. Job Description: This position will manage the claims process on Property losses in North America with a focus on: Manage all claims administrate functions of the company to ensure we are in compliance. Manage the losses on the book of business with the claims staff and communicate with Underwriting on policy coverage positions. Possess strong communication skills in order to communicate directly with our insured’s and manage the adjustment process with Independent adjusters and work with other insurance company claims personnel in the adjustment process. Other responsibilities include support of Underwriting and Engineering within Starr and Interpolation of policy clauses. Establish Internal audit validation to ensure claim payments and file follow-up procedures. Knowledge and Skills Required 10 years of claims handling experience with an independent adjustment firm or insurance company experience Experience in the claims adjustment process preferably with experience in adjusting claims, writing adjuster reports and letters on files with an insurance company or with an independent adjustment firm. A combination of both job functions is a plus. Requirements

  • 10 years of claims handling experience with an independent adjustment firm or insurance company experience
  • Experience in the claims adjustment process preferably with experience in adjusting claims, writing adjuster reports and letters on files with an insurance company or with an independent adjustment firm.
  • Considerable prior adjustment experience is required to successfully perform the job responsibilities of this position
