About The Position

We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Full Stack Developer II to join our Tech Enablement Team in Newport Beach, CA. As a Sr. Full Stack Developer II, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success, by leveraging your analytical and cloud engineering skills to solve complex problems for the CMD business. You’ll join a dedicated, self-organizing, cross-functional team in developing our next generation systems in the AWS cloud. How you will make an impact: Analyze complex business problems, clarify requirements, and evaluate technology feasibility. Assist in the overall scope definition, workflow design and facilitation of technology development. Develop solutions to solve complex problems for the business. Work with Product Owner to refine backlog, prioritize use cases and drive team understanding Work closely across business and technology teams to assist with integration design, development, testing & implementation Collaborating with architects and engineers to formulate innovative automation engineering solutions Mine large and complex datasets for insights and conversion to new product features Executing a project from scratch to production while collaboratively across teams. Communicate complex concepts and results in a clear and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in software development, architecture and/or cloud technologies.
  • Hands-on experience implementing data integration and API services with AWS cloud technologies.
  • Strong foundation with modern SDLC in various technologies (AWS Services, RDBMS, NOSQL, Python, C#, .Net Core, Windows/Linux)
  • Good working knowledge for a variety of automation, integration and business process management solutions.
  • Experience being part of a fast paced agile software development team
  • Desire and ability to train, mentor, and develop technical skills of more junior engineers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Financial Services and Annuities or Insurance products preferred
