Alpha Omega is seeking a highly skilled Sr Full Stack Developer for a Remote position on one of our prime Federal projects in Arlington, VA. The role requires a full stack developer that is familiar with both legacy and modern technologies, including Java/JavaScript, .Net/ASP, Node.JS/Angular, Oracle, and SQL Server. The developer will provide both front end and back-end support for a variety of applications, including maintenance, service requests, and enhancement work. Responsibilities include assisting with design and implementation of technical solutions, guiding team development efforts, maintaining high standards of software quality, providing technical leadership, ensuring smooth functioning of technical operations, managing development team performance, and identifying reliability and efficiency improvements. The developer will also create and maintain test and production environments, CI/CD pipelines, and participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.

  • Provide front end and back-end support for applications.
  • Assist with design and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team.
  • Provide technical leadership through coaching and mentorship.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of technical operations.
  • Manage development team, technical approach, and software delivery performance.
  • Understand migrating to and supporting applications in an Azure environment.
  • Identify and implement reliability and efficiency improvements.
  • Create and maintain test and production environments.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and other automation tools.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Support product development from inception to release.
  • Respond to, diagnose, and assist in solving production incidents.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or similar degree.
  • At least fifteen years' experience developing and maintaining large-scale applications.
  • Technical expertise in Java, .net/ASP, node.JS, Angular, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Thorough understanding of Azure DevOps Pipelines, CI/CD practices, and Platform as a service (PaaS).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge in implementing and managing DevOps tools such as GitHub ES, Azure DevOps, Swagger, Selenium, and JMeter.
  • Hands-on development experience with Open-Source technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS, jQuery, Data Tables, Bootstrap, greSQL, and MySQL.
  • Worked in an agile environment as part of an agile team.
