About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. FP&A Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team at our growing wealth management firm located in Cleveland, Ohio. This visible role reports to the Director of FP&A, works closely with the CFO, and plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and detailed budget-vs-actual (BvA) analysis, while acting as a strong bridge between FP&A and accounting. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, extremely strong in Excel, comfortable working with large and sometimes imperfect data sets, and able to translate financial results into clear insights for senior leadership and the Board. Industry experience in wealth management is preferred but not required. This position offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week after initial orientation period.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a blended FP&A/accounting role
  • Advanced Excel skills are a must (complex formulas, lookups, Power Query, large data sets, modeling)
  • Strong BvA experience, including the ability to explain drivers behind results, not just summarize them
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite experience (reporting, saved searches, data extracts) or similar ERP system
  • Experience in wealth management, financial services, or a similar environment
  • Power BI or other BI/reporting tools
  • Experience working with or analyzing large data sets
  • Interest in or hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance financial analysis and reporting
  • CPA, FPAC, CFA, or similar certification, or a master’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly and quarterly BvA analysis across the firm, including detailed variance explanations and trend analysis
  • Support the budget and rolling forecast processes, including modeling, updates, and presentation
  • Partner closely with accounting to understand actual results, accruals, timing differences, and system outputs
  • Act as an FP&A “accountant,” with a strong understanding of how accounting entries flow through financial statements
  • Work with AP, AR, and other corporate finance functions to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain and enhance financial models used for forecasting, scenario analysis, and management reporting
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reporting for the Director of FP&A, CFO, and executive leadership
  • Assist with reporting requirements and support financial analysis tied to growth initiatives and acquisitions
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and data quality, including automation where possible
