About The Position

The Financial Systems Analyst serves as a strategic link between technical IT teams and functional business users. You will provide high-level administrative and production support for our core financial suite (PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and Concur), ensuring system integrity, process efficiency, and SOX compliance. This role is ideal for a candidate who pairs deep functional knowledge of PeopleSoft configuration with a continuous improvement mindset to optimize financial reporting and system workflows.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience with PeopleSoft (Release 8.9 or higher) specifically within GL, AP, and Projects modules.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level MS Excel skills (VBA/Macros preferred) and familiarity with Hyperion, Concur, and Oracle environments.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to translate raw data into meaningful business intelligence and actionable recommendations.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attributes: A "continuous improvement" mindset with the ability to remain composed and effective under tight month-end or project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • System Administration & Support: Oversee functional configuration, transaction loading, and batch process monitoring across PeopleSoft (GL, AP, Projects), nVision, Oracle, and Hyperion.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance: Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and financial reporting; execute control procedures to ensure 100% compliance with internal policies and SOX requirements .
  • Process Optimization: Act as a subject matter expert to identify system bottlenecks, map existing processes, and implement automated solutions to enhance system functionality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between technical developers and finance users to troubleshoot issues, define system specifications, and manage UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
  • Reporting & Analytics: Extract complex datasets from multiple sources to develop high-impact reports, dashboards, and recommendations for leadership.
  • Project Leadership: Participate in and lead segments of system upgrades and implementations by developing test scripts, executing UAT, and managing post-go-live support.
