The Sr. Financial Project Manager - Mergers & Acquisitions is part of the Corporate FP&A Team and provides leadership & partnership throughout the enterprise to enable and execute on key strategic financial initiatives. This role will balance a diverse set of deliverables based on customer and enterprise needs, such as system integrations due to mergers & acquisitions. In this role, you will perform detail analysis to complete complex and ambiguous tasks, and provide cross-functional leadership to ensure deliverables are being met. This role will ensure real-time support and analysis, be a trusted adviser, and to add value that will assist in decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain business relationships with leaders of the organization to promote open dialogue, and provide actionable information to ensure management has the correct insights and resources to make key financial and financial operations decisions.
  • Partner with accounting systems liaison, and lead the development and implementation of new systems or enhance existing systems to resolve problems or improve accounting/financial processes and internal controls.
  • Partner with the Financial Innovation and Systems teams to identify opportunities to improve processes, maximize utilization of system capabilities, and implement new technology for continuous improvement and value to the organization.
  • Drive accountability and put financial information into context for business leaders to drive conversation and decision making.
  • Develop performance measurement models, techniques, systems and tools.
  • Review, analyze and improve manual and automated procedures, systems and controls.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field is required.
  • 6 - 8 years of progressive experience in finance & accounting, project management, financial management, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Mergers & acquisition experience with due diligence, integration, and program management is required.
  • Experience with financial system integrations is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience integrating a variety of systems (could include Workday, Adaptive Planning, Simplicity, SAP, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • A project management background with strength in understanding financial systems and financial management is highly preferred.
  • Experience with project management software such as TargetProcess, Jira, or Confluence is preferred.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical abilities are requirements of the role.
  • Track record of achieving results through others, expressing ideas clearly and persuasively, and strong ability to influence is a requirement.
  • Experience in a rapidly changing environment and comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing change.
