About The Position

As a Senior Financial Planner at Lancaster Leaf Tobacco Company, you will be responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis activities to support strategic and operational decision-making. This role partners closely with senior leadership and department heads to deliver actionable financial insights, improve profitability, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
5–8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, or corporate finance.
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Experience working with ERP and financial planning systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical problem‑solving
Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
Proven ability to partner with business leaders to support decision‑making and drive outcomes
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality work
Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify process enhancements and implement efficiencies
Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess impacts, anticipate risks, and align analysis with business objectives

Nice To Haves

MBA, CPA, or CMA
Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, consumer products, or distribution environments
Advanced experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
Proven ability to influence decision-making at leadership level.

Responsibilities

Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.
Analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecast; clearly communicate drivers and risks.
Partner with operations, sales, and supply chain leaders to understand cost drivers and revenue trends.
Support pricing analysis, margin improvement initiatives, and productivity metrics.
Provide financial guidance for new products, programs, and operational changes.
Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data.
Improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting efficiency.
Support internal controls, audits, and compliance with company policies.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to finance team development.
