About The Position

As a Senior Financial Planner at Lancaster Leaf Tobacco Company, you will be responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis activities to support strategic and operational decision-making. This role partners closely with senior leadership and department heads to deliver actionable financial insights, improve profitability, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, or corporate finance.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience working with ERP and financial planning systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical problem‑solving
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders to support decision‑making and drive outcomes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality work
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify process enhancements and implement efficiencies
  • Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess impacts, anticipate risks, and align analysis with business objectives

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA
  • Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, consumer products, or distribution environments
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making at leadership level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecast; clearly communicate drivers and risks.
  • Partner with operations, sales, and supply chain leaders to understand cost drivers and revenue trends.
  • Support pricing analysis, margin improvement initiatives, and productivity metrics.
  • Provide financial guidance for new products, programs, and operational changes.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data.
  • Improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting efficiency.
  • Support internal controls, audits, and compliance with company policies.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to finance team development.
