About The Position

The Senior Financial controller leads Finance and Accounting for North America. In this role you will manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while also contributing to strategic decision-making and long-term financial plans. Responsibilities include leading the finance team including the FP&A partner, ensuring regulatory compliance, business partnering, maintaining strong relationships with third party financial institutions and service providers, as well as playing a crucial role in identifying areas for improvement, implementing strategies, driving profitability, and ensuring that the organization operates as efficiently as possible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business/finance/accounting/economics or related area.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • 5+ years in a senior finance position managing a team.
  • 3-5+ years in medical device or healthcare related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to take accountability for the quality and timeliness of work outputs while maintaining high personal and professional standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within small team environments, self-starter with proactive problem-solving skills and strong personal initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Regional Finance Operations: Oversee accounting, FP&A, financial reporting, audits, and compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and business reviews; ensure alignment of financial strategy with organizational goals.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Manage preparation and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; interpret financial results, investigate variances, and implement recovery plans.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with leadership teams, state managers, and operational stakeholders to support decision-making and accountability for financial targets.
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for operational and financial improvements; implement best practices across finance and operations.
  • Cash Flow & Tax Management: Oversee cash flow reporting and statutory taxation obligations.
  • Strategic Projects & Initiatives: Participate in key projects and work closely with Finance HQ to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead and inspire the team by setting a clear vision, fostering collaboration, and modeling company values of integrity, fairness, and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage performance through clear goals, KPIs, feedback, and coaching, and address non-performance promptly.
  • Attract, develop, and engage diverse talent to meet business needs while ensuring adherence to legal, policy, and financial requirements, including managing external relationships.
