About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst applies the advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills to support Savers’ retail operations. They possess a strong analytical mindset and demonstrate curiosity, collaboration, and creativity in solving problems and informing business decisions. They possess a pre-disposition toward relationships and business co-piloting, along with creativity in problem solving. The role supports annual budgets, period financial analysis, forecast updates, price and selection analytics, labor and operating expense control and ad-hoc financial analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Senior Director, Retail Finance.

Requirements

Experience with financial statements
Ability to interact with and influence Retail Operations and Finance management
Working knowledge of accounting practices
Good knowledge of Microsoft office products, including strong Excel skills
Demonstrated planning and organization skills
Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
Strong data-driven storytelling and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and work experience.
5 years’ experience in Finance or a combination of education and experience that yields the required Finance knowledge, skills & abilities
2 years of retail or manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Optimization – Lead global pricing analytics, develop pricing frameworks, and partner with Retail Operations to optimize value perception and margin
Strategic & Ad Hoc Analysis – Support high-priority initiatives such as unit economics and profitability analysis, margin management, and labor productivity
Data-Driven Decision Support – Build models, dashboards, and analytical tools that enable leaders to make informed decisions quickly
Analyze areas of financial performance and recommend best practices at the product, store, and market level.
Act as subject matter expert on P&L, identifying variances and effectively utilizing key metrics to share insights.
Leverage data to uncover actionable insights to provide support to Field Leadership
Evaluate production strategies including pricing, assortment, and volume to maximize gross profit
Support product pricing strategy and related reporting/analysis, projects/innovations, and processes
Develop and maintain routine and ad hoc financial and operating reporting
Contribute to aspects of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast processes for retail operations
Engage with and build complex financial modeling to support ad hoc requests
Deliver informative, well-organized presentations to leadership
Communicate analysis effectively with key stakeholders (field operations, corporate department leadership)
