We are currently looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Bloomfield Hills! The Sr. Financial Analyst will analyze the company’s financial performance and advise the company on its future financial strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required.
  • Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis.
  • Ability to utilize advanced data analytic techniques to extract actionable insights for informed decision making on strategic initiatives.
  • Attention to detail, particularly as it relates to research, and large datasets.
  • Experience working with financial statements, including Income Statements, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Solution oriented, driven by a root cause analysis perspective.
  • Ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing is required.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Possess exceptional organizational and time-management skills, including working with multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Regular attendance, work ethic and strong interpersonal skills are required for success in this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Power BI or related business intelligence software is preferred.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with others.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data and develop models for decision support.
  • Prepare reports on financial performance for regular leadership reviews.
  • Summarize and advise the organization on findings related to financial reporting.
  • Identify trends and potential causes of financial impacts.
  • Make recommendations on financial decisions for the organization.
  • Act as a mentor to other Financial Analysts.
  • Analyze industry trends and make recommendations.
  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Aid in capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes.
  • Develop reporting and forecasting tools for efficient use of data.
  • Identify and drive financial process improvements.
  • Monitor operational budgets.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
