About The Position

This role serves as a key position in the NBCU Local finance department. This role will be responsible for assisting with all financial aspects of the Digital and Diginet businesses (FAST channels, COZI, NBC TRUE CRMZ, TeleXitos) and requires an understanding of accounting/finance and the ability to partner with multiple business units, FP&A, and Local Stations. The Senior Analyst reports to the Director of FP&A, Local. A key player in NBCUniversal’s strategic and financial planning processes and their tactical implementation (Budget, monthly estimates, Pacing, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field - or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and a Windows environment, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly and quarterly closing processes (e.g., analyze departmental expenses, calculate required accruals, create journal entries, and take lead to ensure all expenses are captured and stated properly)
  • Assist in monthly forecasting and managing operational expenses in partnership with the leadership team
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget, estimates, and long-range plan
  • Assist with internal management reporting – P&L, Close Package, Headcount
  • Resolve vendor setup and payment issues – act as liaison with Accounts Payable team
  • Track spending against budget and partner with the various operators to ensure spending remains within approved limits
  • Own the processes for 3rd party revenue share, distribution expense, programming expense and amortization schedules
  • Ad hoc variance analysis and projects
