About The Position
At Veritiv, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing financial and business information and analysis that supports the company's reporting, forecasting, and planning processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for extracting and analyzing financial, economic, and operational data to support activity-based modeling and profitability pro formas for domestic customers. This position requires a proactive approach to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders on restructuring existing business and identifying future business opportunities. The Senior Financial Analyst will conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. This includes developing and maintaining complex financial models to assess business performance and evaluate investment opportunities. The role also involves analyzing and interpreting financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management. The analyst will prepare insightful reports and presentations for executive leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring that complex financial concepts are communicated effectively to non-financial stakeholders. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Senior Financial Analyst will work cross-functionally with other departments to gather data, perform analysis, and drive actionable insights. Monitoring key financial metrics and performance indicators is essential, as is identifying trends and areas for improvement. Additionally, the analyst will lead planning and forecasting processes for their areas of responsibility, including inputting and validating data into the Hyperion Planning application.
