Join our dynamic Semiconductor Business Unit Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst in our Electron Microscopy business! From research and development to high-volume manufacturing and beyond, Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a broad portfolio of solutions and workflows to support semiconductor development and accelerate time-to-market. This is an outstanding BU Finance role that reports to the Finance Director of the Semiconductor Business Unit and will be the business partner to the PFA (Physical Failure Analysis) product line leaders. We are looking for someone with good business sense and who is highly analytical with great attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills are key to be successful. Furthermore, experience in navigating complex matrixed environments is required. It is a role that requires a self-starter that is hands-on and is a critical thinker. Establishing strong partnerships with business leaders is essential in our fast-paced environment.

  • Ensure instrument ship request aligns with the revenue forecast considering dynamic variables like open factory slots, backlog, bookings, slot reservations, lead times, and inventory levels at the factory side.
  • Drive growth by providing analytics and insights to the PFA business leaders for their respective Products (SEM, TEM, XDB, Lab Automation, Fab Solutions).
  • Revenue and Gross Margin reconciliation and analysis for Semi BU, providing daily updates to the Division and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare financial schedules and commentary for the PFA product lines that go into the Monthly and Quarterly review reporting package with Division.
  • Lead and coordinate the PFA revenue planning incorporating the bookings plan and backlog. Prepare analysis for executive review.
  • Improve processes, analytics, and dashboards. Streamline routine analysis through automation and develop business intelligence capabilities.
  • Support financial modeling and analytics for ad-hoc projects.
  • 4-6 years of experience, preferably in a matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with a tier 1 CRM and ERP system.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms.
  • Proficient in Hyperion planning system, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting required.
