Learn more at tandemdiabetes.com A DAY IN THE LIFE: The Commercial Sr. Financial Analyst I serves as a strategic partner to commercial and cross‑functional teams by developing and maintaining revenue forecasting models, analyzing sales performance drivers, monitoring regional and territory trends, and identifying leading indicators that shape future revenue expectations. The role collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, IT, Data Science, FP&A, and Accounting to refine forecast assumptions, evaluate pricing strategies, assess contract and pricing opportunities, and ensure GAAP‑compliant financial insights. Responsibilities also include managing pricing forecasts and gross-to-net elements, preparing and communicating analytics on unit volumes, pricing, and market trends, driving continuous improvement in forecasting and reporting processes, and providing KPI‑driven financial guidance that supports informed decision‑making and strengthens financial accountability across the business. A Sr. Financial Analyst at Tandem also: Partners with commercial functions to understand and impact revenue, profitability, and commercial execution strategies. This includes understanding the drivers of territory performance, competitive positioning, pricing, and go-to market strategies. Develops and maintains revenue forecasting models through analysis of sales data and multiple variables. Assesses and tracks sales performance KPIs, key drivers of revenue, new product performance, and competitive trends. Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and other commercial departments to gather insights and refine forecast assumptions. Identifies and analyzes lead measures towards projecting revenue performance. Analyzes regional performance trends contributing to the overall revenue trend. Assists in developing and implementing pricing strategies and models that align with company goals and market trends. Collaborates with the Market Access team to evaluate potential contract deals and pricing opportunities. Develops financial analysis to support decision making and evaluate impact on financial statements towards deal approval. Manages pricing forecast and reporting to reflect the latest pricing trends and expectations for selling price, rebates, and other gross-to-net items. Prepares regular reports on unit volumes, pricing analytics and market/channel trends and effectively communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Monitors forecast accuracy and identify areas for improvement. Partners with IT, data science, and corporate FP&A to create and maintain consistent dashboards related to units, pricing, and revenue. Serves as a strategic finance partner for the assigned business functions. Influence business leaders by providing KPI metrics to ensure financial accountability. Develops financial analysis to drive well thought out financial decisions. Drives continuous improvement in forecasting, reporting deliverables and processes. Collaborates with Accounting to ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years’ previous experience in a financial planning and analysis role, business partnering or other finance area.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of reliable, detailed and accurate work product.
  • Ability to independently work with large data sets and draw appropriate & useful business conclusions.
  • Flexibility to adjust to fluctuations in workload based upon changing priorities.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and planning applications.
  • Ability to quickly develop working experience with ERP systems

Nice To Haves

  • previous experience with Workday Adaptive Planning a plus.
  • Strong knowledge, understanding and experience with business intelligence dashboarding tools and SQL, preferred.
  • Power BI with database structures will be utilized in this role.
