Job Description Summary Financial Manager Are you seeking an entrepreneurial, empowering workplace that allows you to: • Develop a career track • Leverage your current skills while developing new skills • Work with an incredible team of people Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Regional Financial Manager. As a Regional Financial Manager, you will support the RVPs, DMs and PCMs to gain a better understanding of the financial function and to guide them through standard month-end reports, forecasts and yearly budgets to improve operational effectiveness and to enhance profit center growth trends.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree, in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a financial role requiring extensive analysis.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to lead and influence others without direct management authority.
  • Advanced MS Excel (Pivot tables and Macros, etc.) and MS Access skills required.
  • Strong presentation and PowerPoint skills.
  • AS400 Query experience.
  • Dependable, motivated and self -starter, with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • 25 percent travel (overnight) required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist assigned regions with coordination and support of the annual business planning and budgeting process, as well as quarterly forecasting.
  • Analyze and report on key business performance metrics and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Work with key partners in the business (RVPs, DMs and PCMs) to improve business results where opportunities have been identified.
  • Provide training for new PCMs and DMs on financials.
  • Be the single point of contact for GL and performance questions.
  • Attend month-end performance meetings with RVP, DM and PCMs.
  • Develop electronic tools to analyze and report key performance metrics by region, division, business segment and distribute those measures to management with commentary.
