Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or an MBA
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
  • Experience participating on projects, supporting finance initiatives with the business
  • Experience with transaction & reporting systems including, but not limited to Hyperion, SAP, Business Warehouse, TM1 or other local systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
  • Proven knowledge of financial accounting standards and GAAP
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to make judgments based on analysis of factual information, practice and previous experience/reasonable assumptions
  • Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work across functions & cultures and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability of being a dynamic self-starter, to work independently and apply sound judgment to solve complex problems with incomplete and/or ambiguous information required and to proactively initiate action steps
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at once, work under pressure, apply judgment and ask for aid in prioritizing as applicable
  • Experience working with Sarbanes-Oxley Controls
  • CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and analyze McCormick Flavor Solutions business results throughout forecast, budget, long term plan and Actuals cycles working closely with Flavor Solutions FP&A Director, commercial finance, and supply chain finance business partners.
  • Assemble, analyze, and present information as part of the business planning and analysis process to include forecast meetings.
  • Work closely with regional finance team to understand business drivers for all forecasts, budget, and quarterly cycles.
  • Bridge actual results to forecast, budget and prior year, ensuring all major P&L components are properly recorded and adequately explained and communicated.
  • Participate actively in projects and ad-hoc analysis/questions related to global and regional financial/strategic reporting, sales trends, and gross margin analysis.
  • Continually standardize and optimize P&L processes/reporting across Global FP&A.
  • Develop slides for the Flavor Solutions Forecast process, highlighting drivers of business results.
  • Compile, report, and analyze complex data streams throughout various business cycles.
  • Participate actively in projects and ad-hoc analyses.
