About the position

We are seeking an experienced FP&A Analyst who desires a great place to build their career in a growing, dynamic, and fast-paced environment that can support our rapid growth and increasingly complex operations. The role involves financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, financial analysis, understanding key business drivers, using data to create actionable reporting and visibility to business partners, budgeting/forecasting, scenario modeling, and other adhoc analysis as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with RVP/RSDs (Regional VPs/ Regional Service Directors) to understand the business needs, goals, and challenges, and provide financial support and insights to help them achieve their financial objectives.
  • Facilitate the financial forecasting and planning processes with operational partners for quarterly forecast updates, annual plans, and long-range plans.
  • Support the development of revenue and expense plans using agreed-upon volume, rate, growth, and transportation cost assumptions – for forecast/budget.
  • Provide monthly / Quarterly P&L variance analysis to Budget, forecast, PM, and PY along with monthly reporting packages that include analysis of key business trends, KPI, and variance narratives explaining business drivers behind the variances.
  • Support financial modeling and business analytics to address P&L queries (OneStream, Spreadsheet server, PBI, etc).
  • Collaborate with RVP/RSD and Branch Manager to provide root cause analysis and actionable insights based on financial and non-financial data (price, volume, mix etc).
  • Analyze forecast and business case accuracy for root cause issues and apply these learning to future reports; translates findings into clear, understandable results; identifies complete, consistent, and actionable insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • A detail-oriented, 'hands-on', self-starter with a desire to tackle new challenges and drive results.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and able to operate with limited information or guidance at times.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, manipulate, analyze, and disseminate key information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to consider the 'big picture', including potential stakeholders to anticipate problems and/or data needs, and proactively find solutions.
  • 3+ years of FP&A experience.
  • OneStream experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and prioritizing abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel periodically (5%-10%) as required.
