We are seeking a dynamic and strategically minded Senior Finance Manager, R&D and Innovation to support our Global Research & Development (R&D) and Global Innovation teams within Pharmacy Automation (MMS). This role is critical to shaping financial strategy and enabling innovation across our global portfolio. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior R&D leaders and cross-functional teams, delivering insightful financial analysis, challenging assumptions, and driving data-informed decisions. Key responsibilities include managing both operational (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) expenditures—ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize financial performance. By supporting robust business cases and guiding investment decisions, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our innovation pipeline and achieving long-term growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and strategic analysis.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience across MedTech, healthcare, and technology sectors, with a focus on R&D investment and new product development (NPD); proven exposure to innovation-driven functions.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, guiding teams and influencing decision-making at all levels.
  • Must have demonstrated experience managing both operational (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) expenditures, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes, accruals, and SOX compliance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) with expert-level Excel skills, including complex financial modeling.
  • Proficiency working with ERP platforms (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, Great Plains) and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the innovation lifecycle and strategic execution.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership, drive alignment, and deliver high-impact strategic outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, fostering partnerships across diverse teams to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Global R&D and Innovation leadership, providing financial guidance and strategic support.
  • Influence investment decisions in innovation projects, product development, and technology platforms.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for R&D and innovation portfolios.
  • Supervise multi locations personnel
  • Deliver insightful analysis on R&D spend, project ROI, and innovation pipeline performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support scenario planning and risk analysis for major initiatives and long-term strategies.
  • Ensure financial governance and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Partner with project management and procurement teams to ensure cost control and contract compliance.
  • SOX compliance, month end close, etc.
  • Collaborate with global finance teams to align on reporting standards and best practices.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems supporting R&D and innovation.
