About The Position

Sr. Field Technician (OR) RoomReady is seeking a confident decision maker to join our Field Operations team. The ideal candidate must be comfortable on various jobsites. Our Sr. Field Technician is a mid-level technician and is primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient installation of simple to complex video conference spaces. Additionally, this role may be responsible for oversight and guidance of the work performed by an entry-level, Field Technician. This role will ideally be located in the Portland, OR area and be required to travel in and around the PNW and Western regions. Requirements

  • Experience installing and troubleshooting AV systems.
  • Experience working with control system touch panels.
  • Proficiency with construction techniques and structured cabling.
  • Use of basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use common interfaces to integrate, test, and certify AV systems.
  • A background in video conferencing and audio system configuration required.
  • Familiarity with audio DSP set up, control system testing and troubleshooting, and the ability to test and configure common video interfaces.
  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of audiovisual knowledge or construction experience and preferably.
  • CTS-I certified or equivalent work experience.
  • OSHA 30

Responsibilities

  • Install AV system racks and perform on-site staging of AV equipment delivered.
  • Properly labels equipment and field cabling in accordance with Technical Standards.
  • Perform installation tasks such as cable placement and termination.
  • Reading blueprints and drawings.
  • Collaborating with certification teams.
  • Training clients on how to operate our solutions.
  • Traveling up to 100% of the time, mainly around the PNW and Western regions.
  • Field Installation of Video Conferencing systems- from classrooms to conference rooms and everything in between.
  • Serves as the face of the organization to best represent the RR brand and reputation; properly greets and interacts with customers in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Utilizes Lead Tech as the primary communication conduit for technical questions, verifications, and issue reporting.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and within expected timeframes.
