Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or other related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of work experience, or Master’s degree with 5 years of work experience preferably in the automotive field
  • Proven track record of bringing automotive ADAS/AD Driving features into production
  • Expertise in use case and requirements development for ADAS/AD features
  • Experience with automotive supplier interaction, specification development, project/release management, and change management
  • Strong understanding of regulations (FMVSS, GSR, ECE R79) and standards for ADAS features (ISO 26262, ASPICE, SOTIF, ISO standards) to ensure safety, compliance, and innovation in the automotive industry.
  • Expertise in Euro NCAP testing and scoring methodologies to establish precise point targets
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (JAMA, DOORS, etc.)
  • Proficiency with agile development tools such as JIRA
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present results and achievements to a non-expert audience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with ADAS/AD customer functions at a Tier 1 or OEM
  • Experience with feature level project management, and ADAS software development process
  • Experience with component and system integration, and testing and verification on system and vehicle levels
  • Knowledge of in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
  • MS or PhD in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, prototype, and launch cutting-edge ADAS/AD Driving features such as driver monitoring systems (DMS) for hands-off driving, automated lane changes, and more sophisticated steering, braking, and acceleration control on geo-fenced roads.
  • Be responsible for the timely delivery of fully validated, high-quality customer features
  • Create and manage feature roadmaps for multiple vehicle program line and get buy-ins from stakeholders such as marketing, homologation and other teams
  • Be voice of customer and represent features in all communications with stakeholders
  • Develop feature definitions, use cases, functional requirements, and target performance KPIs
  • Work closely with Functional Safety team to facilitate HARA and Safety Goal development
  • Drive feature specifications using creative ideas and lead usability studies with UX/UI design team to bring each feature to the next level providing a best-in-class premium experience
  • Work closely with Tier 1 suppliers and internal teams to implement innovative solutions
  • Lead competitive benchmarking to stay up to date with latest market trends and technologies
  • Work cross functionally to ensure good communication to achieve a seamless and robust feature development and delivery.
