This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA. If the person selected is not affiliated with the Anchorage Municipal Employees Association (AMEA), he or she must become a member in good standing within 31 days of beginning work. Under general supervision, perform a variety of receptionist and clinical support duties for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program. This position is responsible for screening clients for program eligibility, enrolling clients in WIC program services, answering phone calls, filing, and record maintenance of client charts, scheduling appointments, data entry, referring clients to appropriate WIC staff, community resources, and Anchorage Health Department programs, obtaining anthropometric and hemoglobin measurements, and issuing WIC food benefits. Perform other duties as assigned.
