Facilities Maintenance & Operations Position Overview This position is for a Facilities Maintenance & Operations professional who will be responsible for overseeing building systems, responding to service requests, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Work Schedule: The role requires working evening shifts Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in facilities management or similar role, preferably in corporate or industrial settings
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with facilities management software (CMMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and understanding of building systems
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, multi-tasking capabilities, and organizational skills
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and climb ladders as needed
  • Other: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Certifications: Facilities management certifications such as FMP (Facility Management Professional) or CFM (Certified Facility Manager)
  • Additional Experience: Experience with large-scale facilities operations

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Coordination: Overseeing preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and grounds
  • Service Response: Promptly addressing facilities-related service requests and emergencies, including troubleshooting minor repairs
  • Vendor Management: Managing relationships with external contractors, sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements are met
  • Inspections: Conducting regular facility inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Space Planning: Assisting with office reconfigurations, moves, expansions, and furniture installation/maintenance
  • Health & Safety: Ensuring compliance with regulations, participating in safety audits, and implementing corrective actions
  • Administrative Duties: Maintaining records of expenditures, maintenance logs, inventory, and preparing performance reports
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Working with IT, HR, and security departments to provide seamless facilities support
