About The Position

As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a GMP Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Background in mechanical (MEP) with hands-on experience a plus.
  • Must hold hard and soft services facilities management experience.
  • Experience in regulated Research & Development, Life Sciences, Manufacturing and/or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Intermediate math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees.
  • Track the training and development of staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and mentor.
  • Coordinate the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines.
  • Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Coordinate and run facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Build environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures.
  • Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary of about $150,000 to $160,000 plus 10% target bonus based on experience.
