About The Position

As a CBRE Sr. Facilities Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets and may partner Property Managers or landlords.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in commercial Facilities Management or commercial Property Management.
  • Familiarity with commercial building maintenance practices is preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Capability to communicate sensitive and complex information effectively.
  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire the team in reaching overarching operational goals.
  • Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and a highly curious mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills required, including the ability to perform calculations involving percentages, fractions, and other financial computations.

Responsibilities

  • Spend approximately 60% of time in the field, visiting client sites.
  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures.
  • Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Provide formal supervision to employees, track training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentor and coach as needed.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
