Sr Facilities Maintenance Technician

About The Position

The Building / Facilities Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting multiple office and warehouse facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable day-to-day operations. This role focuses on hands-on maintenance, proactive facility monitoring, and troubleshooting building system issues across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities, building, or industrial maintenance
  • Strong hands-on experience with HVAC systems
  • Working knowledge of boiler systems and basic electrical
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently
  • Experience working in large or multi-site environments (warehouse, corporate facilities, schools, or utilities)
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and urgency
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass pre-employment screenings
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse and facility environments
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access mechanical spaces
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine walkthroughs of facilities to assess building conditions and identify maintenance needs
  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve facility and equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Support and execute preventive maintenance programs across all locations
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs outside of scope, including obtaining and managing bids
  • Maintain warehouse infrastructure including dock doors, overhead doors, lighting, and ventilation systems
  • Monitor and respond to facility requests with urgency and accountability
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Support facility improvement projects, upgrades, and minor renovations
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize reliance on external vendors
