About The Position

Gallo is seeking a Sr. Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Under minimal supervision, you will be responsible for conducting general building maintenance service calls, performing routine preventative maintenance on facility utility components, office reconfiguration, inventory maintenance, and building inspections. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities remain compliant with all local, state, and federal codes while maintaining the highest standards of service and quality at the lowest cost. Your day-to-day tasks will include performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment, from irrigation pumps and HVAC units to water heaters and office furnishings. You will troubleshoot and log service issues, coordinate maintenance operations, and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly. In addition, you will make necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments, and provide support to Building Maintenance Mechanics on complex repair projects. You will also mentor junior maintenance assistants, efficiently use materials and equipment, and conduct routine building inspections. We value collaboration and problem-solving, and you will work with your team to analyze and resolve issues, support small-scale construction projects, and develop pedestrian access plans. Your role will also involve coordinating with outside contractors, maintaining service equipment and vehicles, and staying current with EPA regulations and industry best practices. Requirements

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of facilities maintenance, handyman experience, or production maintenance experience
  • Required to work one weekend per month as needed
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Ability to lift 100lbs and carry 75lbs up flights of stairs and ladders
  • Ability to work on ladders, building rooftops, and crawl through tight spaces
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence
  • Skilled in basic arithmetic operations
  • Required to travel to company offices and sites up to 5% of the time
  • Must be 18 years or older
