Primary Purpose This role involves managing the processes for acquiring, tracking, and reporting on permits, railroad permissions, easements, and real estate needed for the execution of construction projects and programs. It includes providing process improvement analysis and collaborating to develop efficiencies and risk assessments from a permitting perspective. The role acts as the primary interface with municipal, county, and state permitting agencies, executing communications and outreach activities to improve permit approval timeliness and resolve obstacles through strategic relationship building. These efforts aim to proactively coordinate with jurisdictions to successfully obtain permits and execute processes in collaboration with internal partners such as Projects and Contracts, Real Estate, External Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Legal. Additionally, this position will collaborate with the Senior Business Analyst supporting permitting data tracking to assist with information that will inform the development of the permitting tracking tool. The role is also responsible for documenting proficiencies that will improve the process for acquiring permits. This position requires may require extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
