Opened in 2010, Palmdale Regional Medical Center is a 184-bed, acute care hospital located in Palmdale, CA. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • One year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Current CA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or LVN Blood withdrawal certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
  • CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
  • EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required -OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
  • Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Follow the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician.
  • Manage the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis.
  • Perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department to ensure and maintain smooth patient flow.
