About The Position

The Equipment Finance Asset Manager at Regions is responsible for appraising commercial equipment, negotiating end-of-lease transactions, and managing an equipment finance portfolio. This role involves researching equipment values, ensuring prudent leasing covenants, monitoring market changes, and coordinating portfolio activities to maximize gains and mitigate losses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and seven (7) years' experience in banking/finance/leasing or asset management experience
  • A High School Diploma or GED and eleven (11) years' experience in banking/finance/leasing or asset management experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Business Administration
  • American Society of Appraisers (ASA) affiliation and/or designation

Responsibilities

  • Researches various equipment types to project present and future equipment values for the purpose of providing residual pricing to the marketing, credit, or PAM in a timely and thorough manner
  • Understand components of equipment leasing to ensure prudent equipment covenants are incorporated into lease/loan documentation to protect equipment value and mitigate risk
  • Monitors the various equipment markets for technology changes, market influences and regulatory changes that affect value of leased equipment and residual pricing
  • Performs and coordinates portfolio and administration activities as assigned and required by policy
  • Works with customers, internal partners, and third parties to amiably maximize gain and mitigate loss in equipment dispositions
  • Performs equipment inspections as needed and arrange outside third party inspections and appraisals as requested
  • May spearhead special projects/activities assigned by department manager
  • May provide guidance or support to less experienced associates
