At NorthBay Health, the Sr. Epic Revenue Cycle Systems analyst is responsible for the support, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Epic revenue cycle management applications to ensure efficient and effective revenue cycle management workflows, with a focus on charge capture, compliance, privacy and security, and adherence to best practices. This role works closely with revenue cycle stakeholders, IT services, and operational leaders to gather requirements, analyze needs, design solutions, and support ongoing enhancements within the Epic electronic health record system. The senior analyst is a champion for change and standardization, promoting new features and functionality as they become available with a goal of reducing unnecessary manual efforts and supporting a friction-less experience for clinicians, medical staff, and patients. The Sr. Epic Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst will provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior Epic analysts.

  • Support, configure, optimize, and maintain Epic revenue cycle management applications.
  • Ensure efficient and effective revenue cycle management workflows.
  • Focus on charge capture, compliance, privacy and security, and adherence to best practices.
  • Work closely with revenue cycle stakeholders, IT services, and operational leaders.
  • Gather requirements, analyze needs, design solutions, and support ongoing enhancements.
  • Promote new features and functionality to reduce manual efforts.
  • Support a friction-less experience for clinicians, medical staff, and patients.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior Epic analysts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent (8 years) in experience in healthcare IT field.
  • Current Epic certification in two or more revenue cycle applications or advanced Epic certification required.
  • Professional certifications from organizations such as HFMA (e.g., CRCR, CHFP) and AHIMA (e.g., RHIA, CCS) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years' experience with Epic or other EHR administration.
  • Knowledge of related systems, understanding of HL7, interoperability concepts and healthcare IT concepts.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations including administrative and clinical functions.
  • Professional certifications from organizations such as HFMA and AHIMA.
  • Compensation: $60 to $79 per hour based on years of experience.
