About The Position

The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Epic Analyst, Inpatient Orders. The Epic Analyst, Inpatient Orders, initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Epic ClinDoc, Orders, and ASAP Certifications required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization.
• At least 3 years of Epic build experience.
• Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with clinical workflows, preferred.
• Understanding of emergency department workflows and integration points, especially regarding patient movement (ADT) and charging, preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel.
• Problem Solving: Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence.
• Dependability: Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access.
• Serves as a primary support contact for application end-users.
• Initiates the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application.
• Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.
• Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
• Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them.
• Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations.
• Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
• Works with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs.
• Participates in on-call rotations and support and attend and participates in, applicable committees.
• Maintains regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings.
• Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
• Remains knowledgeable about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
