We currently have an exciting opportunity for Enterprise Infrastructure & Security Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. This role reports to the Director of Enterprise Architecture to advance enterprise-aligned infrastructure and security strategy. The architect works in close alignment with the infrastructure and security teams, embedded in their priorities and accountable to their needs, while ensuring that solutions scale to meet the demands of the broader organization. You will take ownership of infrastructure and security architecture across networking, cloud platforms, identity, access, and resilience. The role demands deep technical expertise and the ability to engage directly with leaders, engineers, and architects to shape solutions. You will produce clear architectural guidance and support critical design decisions. It requires collaboration across teams to ensure technical solutions align immediate needs with long-term enterprise priorities.

  • Architect and oversee the delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Provide end-to-end ownership of networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN), core services (DNS, DHCP), and security infrastructure (firewalls, WAF, reverse proxy, IAM, encryption).
  • Design and govern platforms for compute, storage, backup, and recovery, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
  • Integrate cloud-native architectures, including container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automation pipelines, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with cybersecurity, DevOps, and application teams to align infrastructure capabilities with enterprise objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive cybersecurity frameworks using Zero Trust principles, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), secure communications protocols (e.g., IPsec VPN, TLS), encryption, key management, and data privacy technologies.
  • In partnership with the infrastructure and security managers/teams, evaluate architectural fit of proposed tools, drive alignment with enterprise standards, and proactively identify architectural debt within infrastructure and security domains.
  • Define, communicate, and enforce architectural standards and best practices for infrastructure and security, balancing robust governance with agility and flexibility to support evolving business needs.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems through guiding monitoring, patching, tuning, disaster recovery planning, backup and recovery processes, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Provide hands-on architectural leadership across multiple large-scale and complex projects.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate clear, comprehensive, and accurate architectural diagrams and documentation across infrastructure, network, and security domains.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies to address current and future infrastructure and security requirements, maintaining alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, CISM, MCSE, VCP) strongly preferred.
  • 7-15 years of progressive experience architecting, engineering, and managing enterprise-level network, server, storage, and security infrastructures.
  • Deep expertise in network architecture, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN/WLAN, and security technologies such as firewalls, WAF, load balancers, reverse proxies, and antivirus.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing cybersecurity frameworks (Zero Trust, NIST CSF) and secure communication protocols (TLS, IPsec).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of storage technologies, virtualization, server operating systems, backup and recovery solutions, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ability to analyze network and security data, identify appropriate control mechanisms, and implement security best practices effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing infrastructure risk, performance, and cost tradeoffs.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional environments, driving consensus, mentoring engineers, and advancing architectural strategy.
  • Skilled in producing architectural artifacts, roadmaps, standards, and decision records to guide teams and inform stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into actionable infrastructure vision and multi-year architecture plans.
  • Healthcare including medical, dental and vision.
  • Retirement savings (401k with a company match).
  • Income protection programs such as life, accident and disability insurance.
  • Paid time off for sick leave, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, and holidays.
  • Wellbeing program.
  • Commuter assistance.
  • Adoption assistance.
