About The Position

The Sr. Engineering Manager - DevOps at Crunchyroll is responsible for leading a team in breaking down complex technical initiatives into manageable tasks, optimizing DevOps efforts, and mentoring team members in development practices and cloud technologies. This role involves collaboration with program managers to forecast project deliveries and conducting one-on-one meetings to support team members' growth and address challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in infrastructure deployment, upgrades, and implementation.
• 5 years of experience with automation tools including Terraform.
• 5 years of experience in automating the SDLC and CI/CD processes.
• 5 years of experience in developing and improving DevOps processes.
• 5 years of experience in identifying performance issues using monitoring tools.
• 5 years of experience in planning, designing, and deploying applications in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Break down large technical initiatives into smaller tasks for the team.
• Collaborate with the program manager to forecast deliveries over multiple sprints.
• Analyze platform and development trends to optimize DevOps efforts.
• Mentor team members on development practices and cloud technologies.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings to check in with team members and identify career aspirations.
• Assist other development teams with incident containment and root-cause analysis.
