About The Position
As a Senior Manager of Engineering at Pinterest, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's mission to inspire users and help them create a life they love. Pinterest is a rapidly growing online advertising platform, and your leadership will be crucial in scaling our core revenue-generating systems. The company is looking to enhance its ad delivery platforms significantly, aiming for a tenfold increase in scale. This position involves leading a team responsible for developing the next-generation ads serving infrastructure, which is essential for the success of Pinterest's advertising business. Your work will directly impact how advertisers and developers can innovate and iterate on new features, ensuring that every dollar Pinterest earns flows through these systems. In this role, you will manage a team of managers and individual contributors, collaborating closely with product managers and stakeholders across the organization. You will be tasked with architecting ads serving systems that unlock product innovations, setting a technical vision, and guiding day-to-day execution. Fostering a healthy team culture and promoting team development will also be key aspects of your responsibilities. You will lead the team in building the next-generation blender infrastructure for whole page optimizations, ensuring that Pinterest remains at the forefront of online advertising technology. Pinterest embraces a flexible work model known as PinFlex, which allows for a blend of in-office and remote work. While the role requires in-person collaboration once a week, it also supports a flexible approach to work, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance, so candidates must be within a commutable distance from either the San Francisco or Palo Alto offices.
