About The Position

At LinkedIn, hybrid roles are performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. LinkedIn's AI and Machine Learning Engineers are both data/research scientists and software engineers, who develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms. Unlike other companies that separate these roles, our engineers work on projects from ideation to implementation. As an AI Engineering Senior Manager at LinkedIn Ads you will be responsible for leading a team of Software Engineers that build and own algorithms, models, and systems that power our LinkedIn ad tech platform. We are looking to experiment with GenAI to build new ad-creative variations which can yield better ROI for our advertisers.

Requirements

  • Masters in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience
  • 7+ years of industry experience including
  • 3+ years people management experience

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of relevant work experience
  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related fields
  • Strong academic credentials with publications in top-tier journals and conferences
  • Experience with search engine, information extraction, knowledge graph, natural language processing, computer vision techniques

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategy for a new technical foundation based on using AI/LLMs to innovate in ad formats.
  • Design a technical solution that enables the organization to A/B test new ad formats and placements quickly and iterate.
  • Evangelize the use of LLMs and AI in software development in the broader organization.
  • Collaborate with Media, Video and Events teams on generating new clips and ad variations to test as ads.
  • Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.

  • The pay range for this role is $191,000-$315,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
