Requirements

  • Experience with backhaul networks, including Microwave, Fiber, and MPLS routing.
  • Extensive knowledge of RF systems such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
  • Expert knowledge in standard telephony and dedicated data circuits, packet switching techniques, and wired communication systems (LAN/WAN).
  • Capable of installing server hardware/OS and software infrastructure, and troubleshooting system/application-related issues.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Suite.
  • Must reside near the Phoenix, AZ area to be available for 24/7 rotation of support, 365 days a year.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by customers.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for specialized systems and product applications, including troubleshooting software-driven electronics, provisioning communication system infrastructure, and optimizing RF and Broadband architecture.
  • Program, configure, optimize, test, and document complex communication systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation, with a focus on trend analysis and documentation of results.
  • Develop solutions for difficult technical problems encountered during system implementation, upgrades, or support issues.
  • Team with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales personnel to effectively design, implement, optimize, and cut over advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
  • Engage in continuous training on the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintain and administer the FSO learning lab center.
