  • Use project management best practices to develop, coordinate, execute and control design and construction projects with internal and/or external consultants and contractors.
  • Manage all phases of project development and execution, including scope development, cost estimating, consultant selection, design, bidding, contractor selection, contracting, schedule and risk management, construction management, project closeout, and all required project documentation.
  • Manage, supervise, and check the development of complete plans, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for the construction, alteration, or maintenance of airport facilities and infrastructure.
  • Prepare requests for proposals, conduct project bidding, and manage contract awards.
  • Assist with inspections or supervision of construction projects to ensure the project is completed in accordance with plans and specs.
  • Monitor and control project spend within budget, and schedule within stakeholder timing expectations.
  • Ensure delivery on customer priorities through effective project reporting and communications.
  • Research, recommend, and implement project management policies, principals, and practices.
  • Promote teamwork and a culture of collaboration, work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Current residency within the State of Wisconsin upon application required.
  • A valid Wisconsin Driver’s license with an Airport Class 2 Endorsement required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or closely related field required.
  • Five (5) years or more of work experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets required.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification from the Construction Management Association of America.
  • Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) certification from the American Institution of Constructors.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
  • Architect license.
  • Professional Engineer license.
